Zinc Finish Mirror Makeover

This mirror was part of a huge 70's triple dresser my mother-in-law gave me a long time ago.  I knew I wanted to use it in our Jack and Jill bathroom but it wasn't a priority so it's been sitting. And sitting. And sitting.

During the summer, I typically do smaller projects since my time is limited with school being out.  So....it was FINALLY the mirror's turn to get a little paint therapy.

I always knew I wanted to use the zinc finish from my Industrial Apothecary Cabinet so to start I painted a base coat of General Finishes Driftwood.

All of my favorite finishes are layered so next I brushed on General Finishes Argentine Pearl Effects glaze.

For the final layer, I dry brushed Lamp Black over the entire mirror.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?

It's all ready for Triple Threat to hang up but I decided to take pictures beforehand to spare you seeing the disaster in the adjoining room.  Do you have a room like that you fully intend to clear out but somehow it never happens?
