Home for the Holidays: A Christmas Tablescape

Christmas is my FAVORITE time of year and setting a pretty dinner table is just as important to me as the food I prepare for the holidays.

I'm so excited to join 27 other bloggers on a Christmas Idea tour.  This is my first time giving a sneak peek into my home.

Traditional is definitely my Christmas style so there are lots of reds and golds in our holiday decor.

I found the place mats and napkins at Big Lots one year on clearance for .50 each! Under $20 for an 8-piece place setting!  That's the way I roll during shopping.

The foundation for the rest of the tablescape was this brocade runner.  I'm still kicking myself I didn't get the matching tree skirt.

Our centerpiece is a teardrop swag that came decorated with holiday fruits and berries. All I had to do was add a candle to the middle and it was finished.

Would you believe these aren't glass vases?  I found them a few years ago in the floral section at Walmart and they're heavy-duty acrylic but they totally believable as glass, right?

These gold charges came from Hobby Lobby's after Christmas clearance sale.  I don't remember what I paid for them but I scooped up 12 so they must have been a major deal.

Even though we rarely use our formal dining room, it's one of my favorite rooms in our home.  My table is set and I'm ready for holiday entertaining. The 'Have Yourself a Merry Christmas sign' was one of the first decorations this year and you can find the tutorial to make your own here.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you found some decorating inspiration!  There's lots more to come the rest of the week with my friend's Christmas Ideas!
