Dollar Store German Glitter Easter Eggs
/The dollar spot at Target gets me every.single.time. I'm pretty sure I have never left it empty handed. Every holiday, they have a fabulous selection of crafty items. During the holidays, their foam cones were the inspiration behind my Silver Spoon Christmas Trees.
After spying this GIANT egg in the dollar spot, I grabbed a few since Easter is rapidly approaching.
Pottery Barn Kids has some beautiful glitter eggs but I knew after seeing this $1 egg I could make my own for a fraction of the cost.

I started with pouring glass glitter into a disposable container to make it easier to apply.
Once the first coat of glitter was dry, I added extra dimension with extra fine silver glitter. I sprayed the entire egg with a coat of 3M Spray Adhesive and then sprinkled on the fine glitter.
To seal the glitter in place, I coated the entire egg with a good coat of spray poly.
I found this darling bunny at an estate sale a few years ago and this Dollar Store German Glitter Egg is perfect for its basket.
Head over to your nearest Target and snatch up one or two of these eggs pronto before they're all gone! I'm working on another style using these giant eggs so stay tuned to see what I come up with!
